You can't get allong with other christians? It really depends on what you mean by “other Christians”. If you mean the nit-picking, judgmental, isolationist, in-your-face, know-it-all, non-questioning people who tout themselves as holier than you “followers of Christ”—then it is really no surprise that you can’t get along with them. You asked if it was “bad” not to get along with them. Jesus tells us to love our enemies and to treat them well even though they don’t treat you well. I don’t think it means that you have to hang out with them or like their behavior at all. I guess what the Lord is saying is to show His love to them as best you know how—remembering that you are doing this for Him as His ambassador. If you are talking about not getting along with people who are true Christians—well, I’m not sure that is even possible. The reason is that a person who is truly in tune with the Master will be like Him. And you know what the Bible said about Him! Crowds flocked to Him! He was irresistable. So because you are drawn to Jesus you would probably be drawn to his true followers. Alas, they can be very difficult to find. I hope this will help in some small way.

Hallo allemaal, Ik ben zojuist lid geworden van dit forum in de hoop, regelmatig, met anderen van gedachten te kunnen wisselen over zaken die mij bezig houden. Mijn naam is John, beveiliger van beroep en al jaren bezig met genealogie (stamboomonderzoek) als voornaamste hobby. Verder ben ik heel erg geïnteresseerd in religie en spiritualiteit.
